101 Ways to Build Link Popularity in 2006 is an article from Andy Hagans and Aaron Wall.
It’s definitely one of the most comprehensive link building guides you can find. I especially like the first tip…
“Build a 101 list. These get Dugg all the time, and often become “authority documents”. People can’t resist linking to these.”
So true, it managed to bait me for a link.
I do have some concerns about the list though, it seems workable from top to bottom tips if the website or webmaster have decent fame or popularity; when it comes to newbie, it still seems like the link building process will have to start from bottom to top.
A simple example is a newbie with no networking in Digg; even if the newbie posted a good 101 list, there’s a good chance it won’t get much Dugg.
